Jumbo oxygen cylinders, also known as D-type cylinders, are large-capacity cylinders that can hold 46.7 liters of water, equivalent to approximately 7000 liters of oxygen.
They are typically made of high-strength aluminum alloy or carbon steel and are used in various medical and industrial applications.
High capacity: Provides a longer oxygen supply compared to smaller cylinders, reducing the need for frequent refills.
Portable: Can be transported on trolleys or carts, making them suitable for emergency situations.
Durable: Made from strong materials that can withstand wear and tear.
Versatile: Can be used in various medical and industrial applications.
Attach the regulator: Screw the regulator onto the cylinder valve, ensuring a tight seal.
Open the cylinder valve: Slowly turn the valve counterclockwise until you hear the flow of oxygen.
Adjust the flow rate: Use the regulator knob to adjust the oxygen flow to the desired level.
Connect the delivery device: Connect the oxygen hose to the delivery device (mask, nasal cannula, etc.).
Monitor the patient: Closely monitor the patient's oxygen saturation levels and adjust the flow rate as needed.
Close the cylinder valve: When finished, slowly turn the valve clockwise to close it.
Oxygen is a flammable gas. Keep the cylinder away from open flames and heat sources.
Do not smoke near the cylinder.
Do not use oil or grease on the cylinder valve or regulator.
Store the cylinder in a cool, dry place.
Transport the cylinder upright and secured.
Get trained in the safe use of oxygen cylinders before using them.
